1. Exclusively educational purpose
MioAtlas (hosted at mioatlas.com and its simulator at mioatlas.com/simulador/) is an independent initiative developed solely for educational, academic, and scientific dissemination purposes. Its objective is to foster spatial comprehension of coronary vessel anatomy, bioelectric vectors during depolarization and repolarization, and the resulting surface ECG patterns.
MioAtlas is not a tool for clinical diagnosis, patient triage, prognosis, or medical prescription. None of the texts, interactive ECG waveforms, 3D myocardial reconstructions, or educational guides published on this platform may be used as a basis for clinical management or healthcare decisions in living patients.
2. Nature of simulations and computational models
The three-dimensional anatomical reconstructions and the 12-lead ECG signals generated by the simulator are derived entirely from computational mathematical and biophysical models, rather than recordings obtained from living patients.
Although our algorithms faithfully reflect the spatial orientation of cardiac dipoles, sequential propagation throughout the conduction network, and ST-segment displacement according to authoritative medical literature, any numerical model remains a simplified idealization of human cardiovascular pathophysiology. Discrepancies may arise when compared to individual anatomical variations, atypical conduction bypass tracts, or complex patient comorbidities.
3. Authorship & validation status
This web resource and its computational models were developed by:

4. What to do in case of acute symptoms or medical emergencies
If you or someone in your vicinity experiences chest pain, crushing chest pressure, shortness of breath (dyspnea), unexplained palpitations, acute dizziness, or syncope:
Do not use this website to evaluate or interpret your symptoms. Immediately call emergency medical services in your jurisdiction (112 in Europe, 911 in North America, or your local emergency number) or proceed without delay to the nearest hospital emergency room.
5. Reporting errors & technical suggestions
Conceptual accuracy and transparency are core commitments of MioAtlas. If you observe an inaccuracy in bioelectrical formulations, an erratum in bibliographic citations, or unexpected behavior in the simulator, please submit your detailed observations to:
