3D Arrhythmia Simulator with 12-Lead ECG
Explore 3D bioelectrical wave propagation across the cardiac conduction system in an interactive coronal cross-section, with simultaneous real-time 12-lead ECG display at 120 Hz.
Conduction engine architecture & 3D coronal section
The MioAtlas electrophysiology module recreates the full anatomy and topology of the cardiac conduction tree on an interactive coronal cross-section of the human heart. The geometric model integrates the sinoatrial node at the superior vena cava junction, the internodal tracts (Bachmann, Wenckebach, Thorel), interatrial conduction to the left atrium, the AV node in Koch's triangle, the bundle of His, right bundle branch, and anterior/posterior left fascicles down to the subendocardial Purkinje network.
Each anatomical segment features independently calibrated biophysical propagation constants: slow conduction in AV nodal tissue (0.05 m/s) to reproduce ventricular filling delay, versus rapid propagation in Purkinje fibers (2.0 to 4.0 m/s). Refractory periods are computed dynamically, simulating unidirectional block, decremental conduction, and reentry circuits.
Bioelectrical classification & arrhythmogenic spectrum
The 43 modeled entities span the clinical electrophysiology spectrum across 9 functional categories: automaticity disorders, chaotic atrial micro-reentry in atrial fibrillation, cavotricuspid isthmus macro-reentry in typical flutter, dual-pathway AVNRT, and accessory pathway preexcitation (Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome).
In the ventricular and cardiac arrest domains, the engine simulates torsade de pointes with QRS axis twisting, monomorphic and polymorphic VT, fine and coarse ventricular fibrillation, asystole, and pulseless electrical activity (PEA) with synchronized absent mechanical myocardial contraction.
Deterministic URL state & technical documentation
Every catalog entity is bound to a deterministic simulator state via URL parameters (mode=conduction&arr=...). Clicking «Simulate in 3D» immediately launches the interactive 3D scene with the configured arrhythmia and live 120 Hz ECG monitor.
All 43 entities link to documentary technical sheets detailing biophysical parameters, heart rate ranges, lead equations, and DOI-indexed scientific citations without diagnostic assertions. The complete catalog gathers all 69 simulator entities with direct links, and the parameter grammar documents how to construct custom setups.

Biophysical foundation of synthetic morphologies
Action potential curves and depolarization vectors are calculated using spatial dipole integration described in biophysical literature (Frank 1956; Sovilj et al. 2013). Voltage calibration and grid speeds strictly follow American Heart Association international standards (Kligfield et al. 2007; Surawicz et al. 2009; Rautaharju et al. 2009).
