Simulator Parameter Grammar: How to Build Any Configuration
The MioAtlas cardiac simulator stores its entire state in the query string, so that any configuration has a stable, reproducible URL. This page documents each parameter, its accepted values, and its default, allowing you to build a link to a specific pathology without interacting with the UI.
What is the anatomy of a simulator URL?
Every link starts from the same base, https://mioatlas.com/simulador/en/, followed by parameters departing from default state. For an arrhythmia, two parameters are required:
https://mioatlas.com/simulador/en/?mode=conduction&arr=AFIB
For a coronary occlusion, also two:
https://mioatlas.com/simulador/en/?syn=SCACEST&ter=LAD_PROX
Remaining parameters are optional modifiers that can be supplied in any order. That is why possible configurations far exceed the 69 entities in the catalog: evolutionary phase, dominance, severity, and multivessel disease combine freely.
What rules govern parameter behavior?
- Default values are omitted. A URL without
modedefaults to coronary mode; one withoutphdefaults to acute phase. Omitting a parameter and writing its default are equivalent. - Invalid values are ignored, never breaking page load. The simulator validates each parameter against its whitelist and discards unrecognized entries.
teraccepts comma-separated territories, representing multivessel disease:ter=LAD_PROX,RCA_PROX.- Booleans are written as
1or0(trueandfalseare also accepted). A bare key without value does not activate. - External parameters are preserved. Campaign tags (
utm_*) and unrecognized query keys survive internal state transitions.
Which parameters define pathology?
These parameters determine what clinical entity is being simulated. They are the only ones needed to construct a direct link to a specific pathology.

Which parameters control visual display?
These do not alter underlying pathology, but how it is presented. The most useful clinically is add=1, which adds posterior V7–V9 and right-sided V3R–V4R leads, indispensable in inferior, right ventricular, and posterior STEMI.
